Ilan Furman is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience in global capital markets, specializing in capital markets, company valuations and fund management. He began his professional career as a junior analyst at Oscar Gruss, covering Israeli technology companies listed on the Nasdaq. He then joined the financial advisory division at Deloitte, where he focused on financial due diligence for Israeli companies preparing for listings on the UK Stock Exchange. After several years in the market, Ilan pursued an MBA at Imperial College London, complementing his B.A. in Economics from Ben Gurion University in Israel. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an active member of the CFA Society UK. Following his MBA, Ilan launched his investment management career at Pictet, where he developed expertise in emerging markets equities fund. In 2011, he joined Columbia Threadneedle Investments (CTI) as part of the Global Emerging Markets team. Over the next 11 years, he served as an investment manager in the team and a lead portfolio manager for the Latin America Fund, helping manage over $10 billion in assets within a team consistently ranked among Morningstar’s top performers. During this time, CTI’s global AUM exceeded $700 billion. Ilan was also a contributor to firm-wide asset allocation meetings and participated in both the leadership and innovation committees.

In 2022, Ilan founded Furman Asset Management (FAM), an independent firm created to bring institutional-grade investment expertise to a broader investor base. Building on this foundation, he launched AmeriTree in 2024 — a concentrated investment strategy that targets corporate equities and bonds across the Americas. The strategy blends Ilan’s extensive experience with advanced data-driven techniques, aiming to optimise risk-reward spectrum. Ilan also serves as Chief Investment Officer at Bridgewise, a fintech company using artificial intelligence to produce financial research on over 44,000 public companies worldwide. The close work with Bridgewise helps integrate existing fundamental expertise with technology-driven improvements in data analysis, to maximise risk adjusted returns.
